Knee gaskets anyone?

I wear the Gladiator knee gaskets under my knee pads for roller derby (I'm a ref). The gaskets do 2 things: 1) They add extra protection to the knee for those straight down to the floor falls and, 2)They add a bit of support to the entire joint area.

I was wondering if anyone wears gaskets or any other type of compression-style brace beneath their hockey shin guards?

I wear Innovative Sports knee braces under both shin pads. Left knee has a CTi2 Hockey brace, while the right is a C180. They dont give the extra padding, but support the knee.

I used to wear ACE branded neoprene sleeves under my shin pads before I got the knee braces.

If you are considering getting more padding, you might want to try getting some Nike/Adidas volleyball knee pads. I got some on closeout at the Nike Discount outlet for $5
