kirkomlett1 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2010 Hi, not sure if this is in the right place but I was wondering what some of your teams do for drills at roller practice? There are tons of drills on the web for ice but none really for roller. Thanks
silverclrk 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2010 Drills for what? Most ice hockey drills can be used for roller with just one less guy. Work on some break outs and maybe PP and PK. There are not a lot of people that practice roller for a beer league.
Darkbyte 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2011 Easy: http://www.whockey.com/work/cirsa/drillbook/I assume you mean roller = inline rather than roller = quads, so if you google inline hockey drills you may have a bit more luckEdit: A guick goolge brought up this one which I havent seen before: http://www.inlinehockeydrills.com/
All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2011 Drills for your team should be structured to your teams needs. Not executing on your power plays? Practice cycling the puck around three penalty killers. See what Im saying? There are alot of drills on the internet. And all of the members could chime in here and tell you some drills. But first the important thing to know is what your team needs to be practicing to become better. What age group is your team playing?
DennyRussell 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2011 I'm the owner of inlinehockeydrills.com and hope you find it useful. I started it as a way to share drills out to other coaches. As a new coach for an Elementary aged team a few seasons ago, I really struggled so I wanted to make it easy for other coaches. Please feel free to provide any feed back on the site/drills. I know it's not perfect and it's always changing so feedback is very welcome.I couldn't agree more with All Tohrs Team, you need to tailor your practice plan to your team. Because of my age group, I typically start practice with skating drills to loosen them up (10 m).Next we focus on some fundamental (passing, shooting, stickhandling, etc.) (10-15 m)Then I focus on drills that help with areas we struggle in. For instance, this week, even thought we won, 8-3, we struggled at times to enter the zone. Practice this week will really focus on that.Again, hope the site helps.Denny
