Hockey Pant Help

Recommended Posts

I am need of new hockey pants and i have narrowed down my choices and will order them online. I have used teh search function and did not see many reviews. I am looking for opinons and reviews on teh following pants. My old paier were Tackla 951 and i do not like the new eagle ones.

Bauer one75

Reebok 7k 2010 model

CCM U fit 09

I appreciate any help as i like to have a nice roomy leg and mobility, padding seems the same on all three pants

I too wore Tackla's exclusively in the past, but I have used Bauer One75 for about the past year... They have held up well and have yet to have a complaint with their protection. Legs are decently roomy, and there are zippers on the inner thigh that allow for expansion.

Agreed, I played with the ONE70 (same pant as the ONE75 minus the DriFit) pant for two years and it definately fit like what you're looking for. The CCM pant also has a more traditional fit, wide in the legs and hips.

Try the ONE75 or the U FIT, one of them will fit better. Also, you'll find a better deal on the ONE75 since they're no longer being produced for next year.

I agree with the last poster. The One/75 or U+09 will give you more leg space but be warned the 09 will be a heavier pant. I'd go with the One/75 if I where you.

Thank you for all the suggestions, I went to aLHS and tried on teh one75 loved the padding but, the legs felt a little short as it ended up above my knee by a half inch. It may stretch out maybe, did anyone else feel the lenght was short? I am 6'1

if you throw the reebok 9k('10 version) into the mix, which would be a more comparable pant to the other 2 you mentioned as opposed to the 7k, it has a zipper feature that allows you to lengthen the pants by 1 inch. check them out.

I tried on at my LHS a pant called CCM control which is a source for sports own design it is a variation of the u fit09 and bought them. seem to fit well and the are light, the shop did have a one75 in a tall. I liked the length but the price difference was the killer as the bauer would have cost me an extra $30 so i saved getting the CCM. I liked the reebok on how the fit tighter in the hips and looser in the legs but the CCM seemed to have more tailbone and spine protection. The store did not have the 9K. I will play tommorow and see how they go.

Thanks for all the help
