very interesting idea, this would allow for a good feel for the stick as it would create more freedom for the fingers to move. But my question is, how much protection to the fingers are you giving up, due to this design. I personally wouldnt want a slash coming up the shaft and hitting an unprotected finger, already lost a thumb nail 2 months ago and its still growing back.

They look like cheap street hockey gloves with very little protection. I think the company "Rollerblade" (?) had some similar gloves like that way back when.
