Baking older RBK 9ks

Recommended Posts

I bought a pair of RBK 9K skates from the first year they were produced. They were pro stock from the Predators so obviously they have no box, no manual or anything. And since there an older skate, there isn't any literature readil available from Reebok either. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these as far as baking is concerned. The only thing that worries me about it is the bladder. It doesn't seem like a good idea to have it exposed to such a high heat. If anybody knows anything, I would really appreciate your help as would like to mold them to my feet a little better. Thanks in advance for any help.

Only thing I know, is if it has the pump your not supposed to bake it while there's air in it, or use the pump until 24 hours has passed.

agreed, the air can expand due to the heat and rupture the bladder

I was under the impression that "pro stock" 9K's don't have the "working" pump???? Just for show?

Huh?

Some have a functional pump some dont. Same goes with 11ks.
