You will, of course, need to take a little time and patience with your buying, but good deals may always be had.

Also check your local Play It Again Sports. While they don't tend to have fantastic goalie equipment, and the prices are usually relatively high for pads, gloves, and masks, in my experience there are often good deals on pants and C/As (chest/arm units), which are very bulky to ship anyhow.
