Rx60 fit?

Recommended Posts

Inline warehouse has the rx60 listed as medium low, compared to the rx25 which is listed as medium volume. I have the rx25s and I'm purchasing the 60s. I just wanted to make sure the fit is the same. Thanks guys.

I am not a Bauer guy (I have wide feet), but I am fairly certain the the RX60 is a totally different last and boot than the lower models in the Vapor line... The 60's are based off the ice boot. The rest of the line is different.

Thankfully IW has free return shipping.

I just got some Mission T9's in a 6.5D. I had Mission He10000's 6.5D before that and they fit my feet perfect. The T9's feel way bigger than the He10000's, I understand they were designed/made by diffrent people. But would a RX60 or RX25 fit closer to the He10000 or the T9? Anyone know?

Well, I just got these skates, and I gotta say, the fit is exactly how I wished it would be. The boots are very stiff, yet comfortable. I havent baked them yet, but from wearing them while watching TV they already formed to my foot. I will use them saturday after baking them.

I haven't baked them yet, but they feel very similar, if not the same, to my rx25s. It would be easier to compare my baked rx25s to baked rx60s, so ill compare them after baking tomorrow.

What size did you get? Shoe to Skate size?

I got size 9 in both the 25s and 60s. I wear around a size 11 dress shoe, and with a size 9 I feather the end perfectly before baking.

Hey Sharks25, I am really glad to hear you say that the RX:25's and the RX:60's fit the same (however, I know that the 25's use an R width, which is somewhere in-between D and EE). As I have a pair of RX:25's in size 10.5R and they are a bit big on me (a bit wide and a bit long), so I found a great deal on a pair of RX:60's on ebay in size 10D. I am really hoping they fit me perfectly, as no one seems to carry high-end Bauer inlines around here (GTA) to try on. They were just shipped yesterday. Based on what you said they should be just about right. As I wear approx a 11.5 or 12 in a dress shoe. I will let you know when they arrive in a week or so.

Now that you have had them for awhile and baked the 60's, did you do another comparison of the two sizes? Let me know.

I think Sharks25 mentioned this in another thread (Mission Boss Black), but to give everyone a heads up on RX:60 fit. They certainly are smaller then the RX:25/RX:20's... I would say about 1/4 size smaller. Not to mention the width difference between R and D. I have a pair of RX:25's in 10.5R and they are quite big on me, but my son has a pair of RX:20's in 10R and they fit me with a bit of space infront of my toes, even with warm socks. My RX:60's (which just arrived this week), in 10D... my toes just feather the front of the toe-box. Since I don't need warm socks for Roller Hockey (spring/summer), I am going to wear very thin sport socks, making the RX:60 fit just about perfect.

Also, to note another comparison, the RX:60's are about 1/4 size bigger then the X:60 ice skate. I tried on an X:60 10D and my toes were touching the front of the toe box, not just feathering.

So here is the run down with my foot:

- X:60 10D - toes touch,

- RX:60 10D - toes feather the front,

- RX:20/25 10R - toes have space at the front.

Hope this helps anyone with sizing issues on these skates.

Decided to bump this thread instead of making a new RX60 thread.

I'm having trouble with the pitch on my RX60's (are more forward/aggresive than my old CCM Vector 10 iceboot with mission vanguard frame).

Remember reading that Bauer has made the pitch more aggresive on the RX60's than previous Mission skates. Does that aggresive pitch come from the frame, or from the boot design?

If it's the frame, I figure I could slap on my old Mission Vanguards and get a more neutral pitch?

If it's the boot, I figure I could reuse the Bauer Magnesium fram on some Ice boots?
