speedracernmm 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2011 I am a beginner hockey player that is looking to get a pair of skates. I am 5'11", 185. I am looking for a decent skate that will hold up a while. I have high arches and heard that Mission has better arch support. I found a pair of Mission Amp 6's for $60 bucks. Are these decent skates? I can't find any information on them. I think I need an intermediate stiffness. Any help would be appreciated thanks!
Shayno 1 Report post Posted February 19, 2011 I run Mission L7 "Pure" Pro stocks, but I would not say they are good for someone with high arches?....To be honest, I used CCM Tacks for years before stumbling onto these skates...Only way to find out is try them on....Don't buy something you cant try on first! Way too many skates for sale, because people did just this! Sorry can't be of more help!
sol9jam 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2011 my last pair of skates were amp6, i ended up getting new skates, only cuz the fit wasnt right, i have a wide fore foot and narrow heel, my problem was they were to tight up front....other than that they seemed to perform well...my advice is to try em on first...what size were they?, i still have my amp6...size8..i wear a size 9 1/2 shoe and like i said they were a bit tight
