How do I clean my wheeled equipment bag?

Recommended Posts

I forgot to hang my equipment up after a game and left it in the bag for a week and now it smells aweful. I was able to wash everything that absorbed the stink except for the bag. Does anyone have any tips for cleaning a wheeled equipment bag? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My best guess is to just take it outside, scrub it out, and spray it down with a hose. Then let it hang to dry. You may wanna watch out for any metal components to the bag, so they don't rust, but bags should be able to handle getting wet.

After that place a small cup full on vinegar in it over night it may smell kinda funky but should get rid of the sweat smell

I ended up filling my bathtub full of water and dumped a bunch of dish soap in with it. I did a wash, rinse, repeat, and then let it air dry. The bag is finally funk free. I decided to buy a new bag anyways and am using the "old clean" bag to store my extra equipment instead of using a cardboard box.
