Elbow Injury

Recommended Posts

For the past 3 weeks I have been getting some pain in my elbow after playing hockey. It only hurts when I extend my arm completely and there is a pain on the inside (part closest to my body).

At first, It was only noticeable for a couple of weeks while I was playing, but pretty much disappeared when I got off the ice. I had a week off of hockey last week and thought that a rest from it would help get it back into shape. But today it started to be really painful after the first hour of shinny, and hours later, the pain persists. I shoot left and the problem is on my left arm. It hurts when I take clappers or wrist shots mainly cause that is when I fully extend it and put the most amount of pressure.

Has anybody had this type of injury before? Any clues on what it might be?

I am pretty certain the problem came from hockey.

Thanks for any info.

Did you fall on it or catch it on the boards? I've had a similar injury where I fell on it and it hurt for about a month.

Also, I am sure you have good shooting technique, but a bad technique will also play hell on your elbow.

Sounds like it could be tendonitis, but none of us are doctors and you really should see a doctor any time you have persistent pain.
