justhockeykid 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2011 I heard from some people that Tour has recalled there new LX-5 skates due to a "boot problem". I have also heard that they are looking at there EX-1 for a possible "sole problem". I know the tour guy roams these forums, If he could tell us more about this. Problems should be more public for buyers than they really are.
the_game 452 Report post Posted March 24, 2011 I haven't heard/seen anything.I've been in the EX-1 since November or so, skating 2 to 3 times a week and the boot is in fantastic shape. Best Tour skate in my opinion since the G-80s.
tour17 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2011 Yes we did recall the THOR LX-5. We were concerned that some of the boots were produced with a flaw in the Eyelet Roll reinforcement. Since the LX-5 is a new skate and we had only shipped a limited amount, we wanted to be on the safe side and recall the skates to inspect and fix what could be a problem. The problem has been taken care of. We are now shipping the LX-5. We are fortunate that we caught the problem early, and was able to react quickly.Concerning the comments about the THOR EX-1, we have had no problems with this skate. The EX-1 has been a great success for us. The only problem is that sales have exceeded our expectations, and we have been temperary out of a couple sizes.
