I'm not going to go play on an A division team, because I'd be a liability. If you're terrible, practice until you get better. I've played a couple divisions up, and I know the feeling when you're the weakest guy on a line and nobody wants to pass you the puck and you're behind the play all the time. It's terrible. So I went to every pick-up game I could and practiced.Where else do the less talented players go if they are in the lowest league? They are where they are supposed to be. I can give the advice that everybody else gives: start your own team.Personally, I think I'd just go to a lot of pick-up and open ice until I was decent enough that the bottom level leagues weren't out of my...er...league.It's one thing if it's an adult team and they're all terrible and learning together. That's actually a blast. Eventually, though, it gets tiresome when two or three players continually bring down the rest of the guys.Again, I'm not saying beer league teams should go dropping players left, right, and center. But when, after a number of years, a player is not progressing, not putting in the effort, and not listening to the rest of the team, they really should re-evaluate their own situation before making the rest of the team feel guilty for wanting said player to pull their weight.Yeah, it's beer league.
