They're pretty much the same as the old 4-Rolls.

the new models are a bit lighter and have a three piece cuff. I didn't notice too much of a weight difference until late in my session where new ones seemed a bit lighter overall especially with moisture buildup.

How much snugger? I have a 13" pair of 4-rolls that I think fit me perfectly. Any other glove in a 13 that I try on generally makes me feel like I'm trying to squeeze my hand into kid's equipment. Is it substantial?

Can anyone comment on the protection? More protective than previous gen 4 rolls? Less? From what I understand, the dual density foam and poly inserts have been replaced with EPP, which is like the inner of the 9900 helmet?

The new foams are lighter and more protective but overall the protection is still a bit softer espially in the back hand. The cuff does bloom similar to warrior with the new 3 piece cuff

They are not a tight fitting glove by all means, i wear a 14 in the current 4 roll and the new version takes away some of teh negative space and i imagine they will break in and be a good fit. I like the fit of the new 4 roll and the protection seems good and dense. I am waiting for a pair in navy and will let you know what the verdict will be

The liner is the same, they just made the top part blue.

Looked at them today, there are definitely other differences. The vents have more mesh, foam is EPP. Cosmetically, the stitching on the cuff is raised higher.

Look in the new Bauer catalogue, different glove and previous years. Step in the right direction.

I just received my new 4-rolls and the difference is substantial. The 13 inch fit me perfectly but the new glove is too small. It not only feels a lot tighter, it also seems shorter. The finger length was fine in the old model and it is too short in the new model. I recommend to go up a size.

i tried them on today and did a little stick handling. i DONT like the newer 4 rolls, they did seem lighter but the gloves overall fit felt different to me, a bit looser in the hands. i think im just going to stick with my older 4 rolls and get another pair in those

Looking at the 2010 versus 2011 Bauer catalogs, it looks like the 2011 Elite 4-rolls use the dual density foam (minus the poly inserts) found in the old (2010 Pro) 4-rolls... so maybe the fit is similar. But it looks like the Elites use a different (lesser quality?) liner and palm... which is probably why they are $20-30 less than the old 4-rolls.
