jino86 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2011 Sorry to hijack the thread but i would like to ask the same question. I came from ice hockey and just got myself the Bauer rx25 inline skates. I'm playing outdoor on painted cement, What kind of wheel setup i need if i would like to get the closest feel to my ice blade which is 11" radius? ,
fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted April 19, 2011 I dont think the wheel setup will have anything to do with it... Kirk was asking about the "feel"
iceburg19 1 Report post Posted April 19, 2011 a lot of ice players always ask that same question. wheels and ice blades are like night and day. totaly differant.no rigid frame has ever given me that ice feel, frame after frame and wheel set ups ,you just cant get that ice feel.BUT the one frame that comes very very close is the Spung Frame.the way the frame is designed,it gives you the same ice skating feel in weight trasfer when turning, and push offs, my stride doesnt miss a beat from inline to ice,(just my edges)To me this is the best performance frame, and closest to ice feel from and inline skate.I use Graf 705 ice and inline with Sprungs.Granted the inline set up has a little more weight to it with wheels ,bearings and such, but it is the best cross over. -venom- 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2011 I think the biggest testament to the Sprung likeness to being on ice is the feel of doing crossovers.... first time you do them, it feels closer to ice than any other frame out there.
shroomino 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2011 Sprungs, hands down. Right from the first time out on them you'll be convinced. Definitely agree with the comment about crossovers, feels way closer to ice than any solid frame.
