Mounting Hummer Frame > s17 Boot

Recommended Posts

Hello! :o I'm looking to convert some of these perfect skates to a roller boot, my question is in regard to the frame sizing (everything else has been squared away.)

I usually wear 8's in Reebok, Bauer, Mission, Tour, etc.. but an Easton I wear a 9! Would I still use a medium size chassis for this set up? Thanks boys@

[/quot Can you go to your local hockey shop and size the tour hummer skate next to your easton boot.

I have S12's, in a 10.5, and my large frame hummer 9000's are a little too large. Lebada says 10.5 plus for the large frames and 10.5 minus for the mediums. Go figure. Next time, I'd do it as Iceburg did and head for the Shop first to match them.

Based on your sizing the decision sizes are usually 8 1/2 and below should be smalls and 8 1/2 and above should be mediums. The 8 1/2 can go either way based on the brand. If you fit an 8 in Bauer, Mission and Tour I would recommend a small and that still might be the case on your Easton as it appears their sizing matches up with other brands size 8. The same could be said for a 10 1/2 battling between a medium and a large. I would normally advise a medium on a 10 1/2 regardless of the brand.

medium hum'er for sure, but you're gonna have a tough time with the bottom of the boot and the second wheel from the front... a very difficult time (from my own experience - let's just say i got fed up and switched to a mag hilo chassis, but the damage was already done).

Nah I've already got a plan for that, 1/8 shims, clear the bottom, or if that doesn't work use 76mm's all through, low center. :P
