Stupid pant question

Recommended Posts

Got the new Bauer TotalOne pant - have to say they real good and they have a little better protection than the x60 - the question i have is how high above the knee should the bottom of the pant rest?

General rule of thumb is just over lapping the tops of your shin guards. Over the flap thing at the top.

It's really PP, but leaving a gap between your pants and shin guards and you're just asking to get a clapper to the thigh.

I literally just got a brand new pair of supreme55's. I upgraded from a sz L old pair of CCM total lights or something along those lines, anyway, they would get caught in the top of the shinguard and cause me to catch a weird stride. In these new pants, my major deal was to have the pants still cover a partial part of the knee when I was bent over, I went to an XL. Now I have no issues at all, skated with them in two games, and it was like a 100x difference.

ITT: let the pant hang over the middle of the knee just a little!

I just ordered a pair of TotalOne pants as well. Should get them on Tuesday. Gonna see how the Mediums fit. Might end up exhcanging them for some Medium Talls if the Meds are too short.

Would love to hear a short review of them if you want to.

I prefer mine to just overlap the top flap of the shin pad. I did have problems with the flap catching the pant, but I now tape the flap down so it works perfectly and leaves no gaps.

GSH13 is one hundred per cent correct. The pant leg should overlap the top part of the shin pad although some guys prefer a slightly longer fit to the middle of the shin. This is not a stupid question because it concerns your adequate protection while playing the game.
