total one skate to labeda chassis conversion

Recommended Posts

hi im sure theres tons of other posts but i honestly didnt feel like searching through them all. I have a pair of total one skates that i converted into roller using mission magnesium chassis. Unfortunetly they snapped and i have a pair of labeda chassis that I tried to put on in the first place but when i brought it to my local hockey shop they said they couldnt do it because one of the wheels were rubbing and i know it could be done because ive seen skates with labeda chassis. If anybody could help in regards to what needs to be done for it to work it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

You need to put risers aka lifts on the front so the wheels dont rub.

I thought the same thing until I just bit the bullet and did it on some RBK 11K. Just take your time and look closely and mark where you want to dremmel...Make sure you have a ruffer sanding head to begin with and them a smoother one to finish it off and smooth it down real nice...It really is not hard and you dont dremmel or take out as much of the sole as you think.

I would just dremel the part out you need for the second wheel to fit. All of the recent top end Bauer boots that I have dremeled out for people have the majority of the outsole underneath the holders removed when they get the skate since it makes it lighter. Your best bet is to take a wheel, put it on the skate in the second wheel spot and mark around it with a sharpy on the bottom of the skate so you know exactly what part of the outsole to remove. Take off the area a little at a time and frequently checking with the wheel if it will clear. You want to remove as little as possible. If the dremel tool has two speeds, use it on low. LBinlineJOEJOE brings up a good point to consider, by now from the sounds of it you probably have tons of holes in the bottom of your skate, this could be a problem when mounting the Hummer in general as it most likly will not line up with the previously lined up holes or only a couple of them, you will have to look at that aspect of it yourself.

Dremel Tool I use:

Here are two examples of skates I have dremeled, hopefully you can see the amount that I needed to dremel out and what is removed stock when you buy the skate. Thee skates are one95's and XXXX's
