hockey_nerd 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2011 Good information in here. I'm using Bauer Lightspeed Pro with a custom stabilizing brace after ACL reconstruction surgery. It's ok, not great. I plan on trying some on while wearing the brace, but the closest shop is an hour away.
HockeySavants 5 Report post Posted January 3, 2012 Bumping this topic up, I have since been doing light workouts with weights and do not find needing my knee brace as much as I thought, I think I'd use it during a game but have not felt the need during rec skating or jogging.I have since bought CCM Pro Tacks 552 shins and find them extremely comfortable for with or without a brace.`cheers
Philly Fly-hairs 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2012 I'm currently recovering from the surgery and the good news is that my PT says I won't even need a brace when it is all said and done (6-8 weeks), but they fit me with a brace meanwhile. And I tried my friend's Bauer Pros and they work great. I haven't attempted any skating obviously but for those wondering, that's a good recommendation.I may still wear a patella stabiliser however just to be safe when I play sportshey good luck man, hope the knee surgery goes welland the recovery
