gabbagabbawill 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 So, I just purchased some Bauer Supreme One60 pants online, got them today, but I cannot tell if they are too big or not... the seem a bit loose, but they cinch up on my waist ok and fall to about mid kneecap. The pants are Large, and I'm 5'10", 210 lbs, 34" waist. Should I consider returning these for a medium pair? Thanks!will
duch 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 As long as the pants protect you adequately, there is no WRONG fit. It sounds like the pants are covering the kidneys and top of the thighs properly. The fit with pants is also a bit of a personal preference issue. Some guys like to wear their pants tight and snug while others like a looser fit. This is very evident if you watch a lot of games on the tube and see how different players wear them. A lot of players wear them looser and their pant legs overlap their shins to the middle of the knees. Other players wear them tight and the pant leg just overlaps the top part of the knee. Neither way is wrong. As long as your not swimming in your pants around the waist . If your waist area is too loose your padding won't absorb the shock of a hit properly because it needs to conform to the curves of your body to disperse the energy around the mid section of your body. The pant leg length is good as long as it doesn't come up past the top of your shin pad at the knee and expose the thigh when you bend your knee. Conversely, if the pant leg is too long and comes past the middle of knee pad on the shin pad, it could interfere with your skating stride and you'll be tripping over yourself trying to manoever and excellerate on the ice. Stoop 1 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 I have the One55s in medium. I'm about the same height as you, and even though I'm considerably scrawnier than you (by about 40 pounds), I usually wear size 33 pants. The mediums have plenty of room in the waist for me; I usually cinch the belt almost down to the end, and was even considering trying suspenders.
