ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 So I just picked up a full pair of Jiri Hudler pants, and I am quite surprised by the construction of them. The inside of the pants uses a hard foam that I haven't experienced before with pants. The back side of the pants are almost like a jersey/mesh material. from what I understand he is very picky about his pants and has them completely custom made. I will have to add a belly pad to them because the way the belt tightens around me is kind of uncomfortable. Anyway, I thought they were cool, so I thought I should share

ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 Didn't know that. I really got away from Easton stuff after college, and I have been primarily Bauer/Reebok.
DarkStar50 680 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 Is the right side kidney pad higher than the left side? It looks that way in your photo.
ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 No, they are the same. It is just how the pants were laying when I took the pic.
DarkStar50 680 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 Ok, thanks. Maybe it should be a custom option for the shooter! I'm only 5'6" so I prefer really short/small tapered kidney pads on my pants. I still wear old Vapor 6 pants that have this feature for just that reason.
Law Goalie 147 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 That padding looks a lot like a diamond-shaped version of McDavid's Hexpads.
ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted June 8, 2011 The padding makes the pants feel really light, but I will be interested to see how an impact feels with them. They are not that usual soft/cushy feel you get with other pants.
