ankle rubbing?

So i've been skating in my x60's for a few months now, and before that I had a pair of XXXX. Never ever had a problem with fit.

Then part way through a game 2 weeks ago, my right ankle (the outside bulb part...lol sorry don't know the name) felt like it was rubbing hard against the boot. The best way to describe the sensation is a 'raw' feeling.

It happened again last week, and I'm starting to become concerned. It has been sensitive since this started happening...just wondering if anyone here has an idea of what is going on, and if they have any suggestions.

Sounds like they don't fit. Suggestions? Re-bake, live with it and hope it breaks in or consider new skates

Get some thin to medium thickness merino wool hiking socks from REI. This should fix the rubbing sensation. As for the boot...not the best fit.

i guess i am a little skeptical as to the idea that they don't fit, considering they were more or less perfect for the 3 months that i was using them before they started to 'rub'.

I'll take em to get re baked and see if that doesn't do it. So strange since I've never ever had skate problems.

Have you lost weight? The other thing is that they have probably broken in in the past 3 months and this has loosened up the heel pocket a little. I had this problem with my one95's and the lightweight wool hiking socks was the best and cheapest fix.
