bladesdangles 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2011 So i have been using a 75 flex cut down bout a inch, but i dont feel like im getting as much whip as i want, so i am thinking of moving down to a 70 or 65 flex(70 being warrior intermediate) an am wondering if that would be a very bad idea? i take mostly wrist/snap shots with occasional one timer, im 5,7 145. Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 8, 2011 The only way to find out it to try one. As long as you don't try to put your entire body weight into the first slapper, you should be fine. Feeling a stick really bend on a shot takes a little while to get used to.
sharks25 9 Report post Posted July 8, 2011 I can tell you that I personally went from using 85-95 flex sticks down to a 75 and it was hard to adjust. I noticed that when I would drop the puck back and load up for a writer the puck would pop up, sort of like a Michigan. So, I learned to take a slower rhythm to my shots and not drop the puck as far back on wristers. Just something you may want to keep in mind while making the switch. fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted July 8, 2011 any chance you could try a 65/70 flex WITHOUT having to cut? 1" isnt a helluva lot, so you could just slide your hand down and try a few shots before actually cutting it off?
Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 8, 2011 This isn't a poll about the stick length you use, we already have 20 of those topics. Off topic posts deleted.
