Fit of Graf 704

Recommended Posts

Was wondering what the fit is on these compared to other Grafs. I'm in a 703 wide right now, but it is a bit shallow for me. I was considering a 735/G35, and then saw a post by one of the gurus on here from a few years back that the 735 is the same boot as the 704. Is that right? The 704 is supposed to be super narrow and the 735 is supposed to be wider than the 703 according to Graf's web site.

I'm afraid can't comment on the fit of the 704, as I'm not familiar with it. If it is (as pizzakid13 states) the same fit as a 703, I can tell you how it would compare to a 735/G35.

The 735 is made on a split last. Meaning it uses the front (forefoot) of the 705, and the back (heel) of the 703. That's where the 735 name comes from, it's part 705, and part 703. This means the 735 has a wider forefoot than a 703, and a the same heel as a 703. The 735 will have a deeper instep depth than your 703, so that would seem to be a good direction to look if your 703W is too shallow. The G35 is the same shape/fit as a 735, but with lighter/stiffer materials, and a full composite outsole. Hope that helps.
