Skate Pitch

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to buy new skates and currently have Mission AGX's and love the aggressive feel to the Pitch 3 holders set to +1, but sadly I can no longer find steel for them. Do any of the big 4 (Bauer, Easton, CCM and Reebok) have anything comparable to a +1 pitch to their lines or are they all fairly neutral?

I have mission pitch holder on my old nike/bauer skates (they were custom) and the runner is a little loose in both skates. I am looking to replace them and after using Google I saw a few for sale. so, do a search and you'll find those no problem.

I tried, many times. Impossible to find in 296 anymore.

Slightly loose runner (up and down) is a common problem with the Pitch 3. New blades will likely be loose after a couple of skates, mine were after my first set of replacements. I think the notch on the receiving nut gets worn or bends just enough in the slot causing it move up and down and to click when you walk in them. No movement laterally in the holder though.

Maybe not 296, as I needed 280 and was able to locate a set on ebay. I had lateral play.
