Reebok 6K Skates vs. shoe size

If I wear a mens size 8.5 (U.S.) in shoes, what size should I order in Reebok 6K ice skates?

I wear 9 1/2 or 10 shoes depending on brand and wear size 7 1/2 RBK skates. My friend is a size 10 shoe and has size 8 RBK skates. My advise is "try before you buy" when getting skates. But if online is your only option, going only by my friend and myself it's about 2 sizes down.

I wear a size 8 in Chuck Taylors, and my Reebok 10k skates are size 6.

Well, the key here is that you should go get fitted.. but if you insist on buying skates without making sure they fit you....

I wear an 11 shoe, and my RBK 8k skates are size 9.

Oh, and also keep in mind that you may need a different width (I'm a 9E). So ordering online without fitting is usually a bad idea.
