new frame or new skates?

Recommended Posts

Heres the dilemma...

I have some easton ultra lite boots with sprung chassis on them. The rockers keep breaking so i am just giving up on them until the new style rockers are available. What skates fit closest to easton boot?

Any suggestions?

Were you regularly rehydrating your rocker arms? That might have been the problem with them breaking so much?

I know that my son just went from an Easton Ultra Lite ice skate to a Bauer Vapor a few years ago without much difficulty... actually he liked the Bauers fit better. But everyone is different!

Yes I have been keeping them hydrated... about once a week i soak them over night. Well thanks for the info. I was in a time pinch since my college season starts oct 1. i tried to order the vapor rx line, none available on hockey monkey or inline warehouse in my size. i bought the mission axiom t6. i hope they a re solid skates... any one have experience with them?

Basically the Mission Axiom T skates are just the Bauer Supreme skate line converted to roller and relabeled. If you fit well in Supremes, you will be fine!

Not really. They are a similar fit, with a slightly different heel lock (imo) but completely different construction from Supremes. They arent made with the same materials, different outsole and stiffness, liner, and foams. So, besides the fit, they are totally different skates.

Why don't you buy more Eastons?

I dont like the wheel setup of the easton inline frame. My other option was to keep my easton boot, and buy a vanguard or humer chassis and slap it on the bottom
