Logo and Jersey designing software

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a website that allows you to mess around and create different Jersey/logo designs. I'm creating a team and kinda wanna save some time instead of hand drawing several different looks.

Thanks, much appreciated

I was surfing a site a few months ago that had some pre-made logos that could be screen printed, but I am not able to find the link anymore. I didn't go with them because their knit was far too wide on the jerseys.

If you wanted a more custom logo, something like the above mentioned programs would allow you to tinker and make it how you want, but do require you to be somewhat proficient with the program. Paint.Net (name of program) is free and similar to Photoshop (last time I used it, it felt like Photoshop from 6-8 years ago). Just save everything in .PSD format.

If you go this route, keep in mind that most places that will print a logo on jerseys for you want them in vector format (Illustrator does this), or very large resolution (if using something like Photoshop).

If this went over your head, I probably wouldn't recommend getting into this because learning the programs is a task in itself, then getting around to making a logo you really like will take time.

It's rewarding if you do manage to do it, but I always find that by the time I am finished with a logo, I have stared at it so long that I hate it with a passion.

If you have made or have modified a logo in non-vector format (raster aka bitmap), I think on the site 'vector magic' you can sign up for 1 or 2 free conversions to some vector formats; you can preview and do some simple editing if you don't like the original outcome.

Very cool web site. Tried it out on the logo I made a while back in Photoshop, and it worked perfectly. Nice to know I have the tool when I need it.

The problem with Vector Magic is if the source file isn't of a good quality, you are vectorizing a bad file. Shit in = shit out, so, if you want your logo to look good, get it done properly from the start.

True. I tried using Illustrator in the early 2000s but I had a hard time using it because of how different it was from Photoshop. I just made a logo at around 3000x3000 pixels, so it converted over pretty well.
