From ccm to Bauer skates

What's up everyone,

I'm looking to buy new skates. I'm coming from ccm vector 08's. I was looking at the Bauer vapor XR4. Just looking to find out some more about them. Also the fitting on the site says R after the size, does that just mean regular?? I'm a shoe size 12 so also would like to know how their sizing works as I was an 11 for ccm skates. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks

R is for regular width.

I believe the XR line uses the same sizing as RX line (a number of our prem players went from RX to XR and stayed in the same shoe size).

If this is the case then I have the following comparisons:

size 8.5 RX60's = size 8 CCM V10's

size 6.5 RX60's = size 6 CCM V08's and size 6 Rbk9k's

Ergo you would need a 11.5 XR4 if your size 11 ccm was near on a perfect fit (wearing no socks, foot in skate, toes feathering the toe cap, 1mm to 2mm gap at back of heel)

Thanks, I've read your supposed to go one size lower than shoe for Bauer so Im prob gonna get 11's. Really tempted to get the XR5 now tho
