From Graf 705's to Graf G5 Skates

Right now I have Graf 705's and am just curious how the new G5's compare. I checked the review section of the forum and those reviews are on the older G5 skates. For those of you who went from 705's to the new G5's what were the major differences. Right now in the GTA a store has the 2011 G series Grafs for $200 off.

If you like the 705, you'll like the G5. Pretty much an identical fit with different interior/exterior materials.

The G5 is supposed to be the exact same fit but stiffer than the 705's. I just ordered my G5's the other day and should hopefully be able to skate in them this weekend

Majer typically has a New Years sale and also a may/june sale. They will discount certain brands to clear older items. They will also sell factory seconds or slightly imperfect grafs at about 50% off. Higher models like 700 and G series that are factory seconds typically don't have the Sidas foot beds but you can get those at a decent price or get superfeet.

I got my 735s for about 300 bucks and three years later I got my G35 for about 350 bucks (all prices are before tax).

I don't know where the other poster was but Majer is usally a good bet.

Well i got my G5's, and the ankle pads were pretty painful on the outside of my ankles. I went and tried on a 705, and it fit much better with zero pain. I'm gonna take back the G5's and go with the 705's.
