newmusic11 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2011 Hello,I have been out of hockey for 2 1/2 years - mostly to focus on education, not due to injury. But I am 47 days away from my first game starting and I am very out of shape. All I have done on my off-time is weight lift. Are there any workouts to build up my endurance, speed and stick handling back to what it was?
ArrogantOwl 7 Report post Posted December 11, 2011 Stick and puck sounds like it would be your best combination of the above. Cardio will help but only skating will improve skating. As for stick handling there are several little drills out there. I've found stick handling and lifting while watching hockey is the best motivation. Shinny should help get you back up to game speed.
