Dual Citizenship

Recommended Posts

Alright so I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this. My mom was born in Vancouver BC and eventually moved down to the states and married my dad and long story short she eventually became naturalized. So she comes up to me a few days ago and asks if I would want to see if I could apple for dual citizenship. I said hell yea but I am wondering how legit/possible this could be. If anyone has any information on this I would greatly appreciate it.

my former sales manager was a dual citizen. similar situation if i recall. mom was american, and dad was canadia, or the reverse, but he has dual because of it. won't be hard to find out though, you should check into it.

Definitely possible. Both my parents are Israeli so I have Israeli and American citizenship even though I was born in the US and have lived in the US my whole life.

heh, this is absolutely no help, but i'm a dual citizen (canada/US).

i was born in winnipeg, lived there until i was almost 4, then moved to california. been here ever since. my parents didn't become citizens until i was like 13 or so. then there was something else IIRC...like, i was a dual citizen, but it took a while to process the papers...i had to sign some stuff at 16 saying i would fight if i was drafted or something like that.

now i'm 20 and i'm probably moving back to canada in june, but vancouver this time. i'm going up in january though to visit :]
