stick rattles but feels fine?

picked up a pro stock alfreddson stick and after 2 games i can notice a rattle if i tap the back of the blade on the ground, but not if i tap the heel on the ground. The stick seems fine on the ice and i cant notice any cracks or anything. Anyone ever have this issue?

is it coming from the blade itself? or the shaft?

i think from the blade, its honestly hard to tell

It may sound like the blade but likely the shaft. Some pro stocks have a plastic liner inside and even the slightest rip will cause a rattle sound. Listen to the end of the shaft and you may hear it.

or it could be a little chunk of glue that broke off of the butt end and fell down the shaft

^ that is exactly why I asked as often loose material or glue often rattles in the shaft

ive held the stick upside down but cant hear anything roll down the shaft, i only hear it when tapping the back of the blade on the ice

I've got the same thing, rattle in my pro stock dolominte but the stick works fine so I don't worry about it

if its in the blade that your hearing the sound, it very well could be a peice of carbon that broke free of the weaves..., thats happened to me a few times, as long as theres no visisble cracks, chips, etc youll be fine
