Easton EQ30 vs. Bauer SupremeOne 60

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm an intermediate skater playing three times a week and I'm going to buy some new skates. I've come to easton EQ30 and Bauer SupremeOne 60. Could you give me any tips or advice which one to get? Besides the fit, I've tried them on and they fit the same. I want to know something about quality, durability, heat-moldability (I know that they are both heat-moldable, but they use different materials). I've been skating all my life in Bauer. Is skating on razorbladz II holders as such different as some poeple tend to say? Are there any issues with these specific models? Just give me your personal thoughts or maybe experience on these two. Thank you.

If the fit is good, I don't think you'll be disapointed with te EQ30. It's a really decent mid range skate which fits real well and is very comfortable. One of our best selling mid range skates. To date I have not had a customer who didn't like their EQ30 skates, Holds up real well as well. One60 is a OK skate too. Fit is most important, so try the two and see which fits you best.

Only thing I'm not sure of is width. I tried D width and forefoot was good but I felt pain and tightness(definitely not snug) around ankles. When I tried EE the pain around ankles disappeared, but I didn't feel that snug fit on forefoot. Should I go with D and baking will reduce the pain? Or should I go with EE and wear maybe thicker socks? When I laced the D width skates the length between the eyelets was just too long for me. I kind of persuaded myself that this is not the right fit.

My kid has the EQ80, and he loves them. The outsoles and stitching are really beat though. There is no loss of function, yet, but after six months of a ten year old, they look like they are about to fall apart.
