Can someone explain how to use this....

its like you have your stick in your hand, and then the elastic ties around the lower part of your stick, and the other side onto door knob. then you take shots, and the elastic provides resistance.

Very bad idea and a pretty generic type of gimmick in the fitness community. Any strength type exercise that is supposed to mimick any sort of advanced technique will only throw you off. It's the same type of thing as pitchers going to the gym and using the cable machines to load up weight on their throwing motion. Stick to training for strength and improvement separately.
