Easton S17 stick

Recommended Posts

I have a chance to pick up a used S17 stick in a Sakic curve for $20 which I am familiar with, only a little stiffer than I am used to (100 vs. 85).

It is cut, so I will be adding composite butt-end for a few inches. What is the flex at standard length considering Easton has the few inches you can cut a stick before it is the advertised flex?

At this point, I couldn't care less about durability, but anything else to add about the stick?

The S17 was notorious for playing softer than rated so the 100 will probably feel like most 85's that you are used to. The other thing the S17's were notorious for was the blades going soft really quickly.

i used this stick for pretty much 2 years and agree with everything here. i eventually got fed up with them not lasting and switched to se16 (prob not your concern since you are paying 20$).
