hunt3rsean 44 Report post Posted May 22, 2012 I originaly bought some CCM Vector 6.0LE but they were a size too big. I had to tape them to anchor them down, but once that was done they offered excellent protection. I really wish I still had them in a size that fit. I switched to Vapor X:40 in the correct size. These pads do not move at all. It's great. What isn't great is the actual elbow protection. I've gone down hard twice (I play in front of the net a lot) and both times I ended up with bruising on my elbow(s). Normal, bumps or running into the boards isn't an issue, but if I go down hard with my body weight then it hurts. Right now it's not a huge issue, but in the next 6 months I will be switching elbow pads.Edit: I should clarify the bruising isn't on the actual elbow, but actually right on the forearm area next to the elbow. So it's not for a lack of "elbow" protection, but perhaps the forearm padding leaves a bit to be desired.
