Bauer helmet issue

I've had my Bauer 7500 for awhile now and noticed last night when adjusting it that the front and back of the helmet seem loose.

When I apply tiniest amount of pressure on the front of the helmet it seems to separate about a 1/8-1/4" from the back.

I opened up the sides, where the adjusters are, and didn't notice the clips to be broken. I also pulled the padding out and didn't notice the holes on the adjuster to be stretched or broken.

Anyone have this happen before or know what causes this?
