Kyle Friedman 9 Report post Posted June 15, 2012 Does anyone know what the fit on the new nexus shin guards will be like? Is it a more slim, low profile fit? Or is it a more bulky, full fit?
Gefiltefish 9 Report post Posted June 15, 2012 The Nexus line is essentially a replacement or evolution of the Pro Series/Pro Lightspeed line... I have been using Pro Series shins and elbows for a few years now and they are a wide fit. High volume and wide.
Kyle Friedman 9 Report post Posted June 15, 2012 Okay thank you thats the answer i was looking for. They arent for me then, I need a more narrow, lightweight fit
Gefiltefish 9 Report post Posted June 15, 2012 Try Vapor. Very tight fit down by the ankle. The Supreme are more of a medium fit throughout in my opinion. The top-end pads are at times heavier than the lower/medium range. The top-end have extra padding, calf wraps, etc that will add weight - but are usually made of higher end foams and plastics.
Kyle Friedman 9 Report post Posted June 15, 2012 Im looking at bauer vapor x40s, and easton stealth 65s shin guards. Anyone have imput on either of them?
Stoop 1 Report post Posted June 15, 2012 I like my X40s, for what it's worth. Comfortable, never had any protection problem, and the are narrow. I tuck them in with no issues.
