So I have been using 87 flex for quite a while now and I like it but I feel as if I can get more on my shot. Im 5 11" about 140 lbs and 15 yrs old. I just saw at the shop up my street they have a nexus 77 flex Ovi curve that I like a lot. I currently have an Ai9 85 flex P87A curve. I love the backhands I can get off with it and its just a great curve for putting the puck up high quick and up close to the net. I'm a left winger and a playmaker. I'm an agressive player there for I'm looking for an agressive pattern thats why I'm looking at the P106 Gange or P08 Ovi. I score mainly off one timers and in front of the net putting it top shelf. What flex should I lean towards 87 or 77? And which curve should I be looking at thats great for my play style (anything besides the P88). If theres any curve suggestions you guys have please let me know? Last bauer curve I had was the P92 on my 3 APXs Thanks for the help guys appreciate it!

The nexus line plays softer than anything i've used before. I have one of every flex profile stick that bauer offers cut to the same lengths, flex identical, nexus plays the softest. So it's more do you want a flexy stick in the 77 model or maybe the 87 with a bit more stiffness. The P08 is a pretty extreme pattern. If you've had success with your current pattern why change it?

If the Sakic/P92/Crosby/P87A curve is working for you then why change. Also, if your goals are one-timers and roof jobs, I would stay with the 87 flex or drop down to an 82 flex. I think you'd be unhappy dropping to a 77 flex. Shot placement and a quick release are critical when in tight to the net.

Thanks I'm just curious because a lot of guys such as Ovi who weigh 210 and use a 79. And IW told me that the P08 fits my playing style, It just has a little more toe than the p92. So idk what to get.

noticed that tonight on a nexus my friend has. I'll most likely go with an 87.

You have to remember though the more extreme you go in a direction with a pattern, it might make your game suffer in other areas. I cant make quick passes with that curve for shit. I Also had problems with a bit of a flutter with the P92. I switched to a P14 and i've really loved it. It's flatter through the middle but still had a decent toe. You might want to look into it.

Yeah I was asking about that pattern to. Does it have a good backhand? I know it has a great forhand shot. But I like using my backhand a lot now.

Backhands are great with it, my transition from the P92 to the P14 was easy in that regards. Took my a bit longer to get used to the shorter blade length wise.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm most probably going to buy a p14 thanks for the help!

No problem man Always want to help people from my own experiences, I think the transition will be a lot easier than it would've been with a P08.
