Improving cardio for on ice endurance

I started playing men's league two months ago (twice a week) and I want my cardio to get better. Its my first time being on the ice in 4 years since I stopped at 16 and my cardio has gone to shit since then. My legs just burn towards the latter half of each game and my cardio endurance itself is pretty bad too.

Should I go for runs, ride the bike, skip on a daily basis or how should I do this? Cardio was never an issue since i played AA my whole life 5 times a week so its weird being gassed out there.
