North American vs Swedish Jofa sticks

I have noticed something funny about Jofa sticks, it seems as there are totally different models on the North American and the Swedish markets. They look totally different and the model numbers are different as well. Anyone knows why this is the case? I don't think other brands differ like this. Compare the sticks on these links.

Bauer has some sticks that are Europe only also, and curves that are european specific.
