Tour 551

Got a deal that i can confirm for a brand new pair of Tour 551s for about $40USD (incl shipping). Anyone got any reviews on this skate? Comes with all the original stuff, abec 3 bearings and labeda wheels (i think).

Was thinking of getting this pair of skates, but already have two backup pairs at home (Mission Team Proto VsI and a Nexed Fluid) on top of my usual pair of Nike Quest 3s (which i got at a steal as well)

The 551's were a pretty low end skate, and are a few years old now. Nowhere near as good as Mission VSI's, and about as old. They were a pretty solid entry level skate, so good if you've got any friends starting out in inline hockey, but if they're for yourself I'd take a pass.

hmmm.... okay, thanks for the advise. there are a pair of tour 850s and tour 962 ice skates that are on ebay for sale. Was thinking of getting either one of these, then convert them for inline.

if anyone on the MSH is intending to get them, email or PM me, and i'll back outta the auction. I'm not in urgent need of skates, just that i would like to get a customised pair.
