Itech Concept II = Cooper 20-20

The other day I was browsing around in a second-hand store and they have some used hockey gear there as well, and I found this full shield that looked EXACTLY like the Itech Concept II, the only difference was the name as it said Cooper 20-20 instead of Itech. Does anyone know the story behind this? Did Itech acquire their design or patent somehow? It certainly can't be a coincidence as they were identical.

robin burns designed the clear full shield roughly 20 years ago... he may very well have allowed cooper to use his design for some time, or cooper may have tried to copy it prior to patents... not sure exactly on how coooper used it, but robin did design the idea... he is the former owner if RBE / ITECH
