Custom glove help

Recommended Posts

So I am thinking about another pair of custom gloves.

I have warrior franchise's right now, I like them but they're getting a bit wore and the palms are pretty crusty. They are tufftek with carbon stripes and the nash palms, they have the foam with the lock thumb and the plastic caps.

What I was wondering is, before those I had eagles and liked them a lot but they wern't ppf's, does anyone know the quality of the present day eagles after they were bought out and can anyone chime in the the differences between ppf's and franchises?

If I do go the warrior route I am looking for the lightest, most comfortable gloves I can get. What foam is the best, the tri-lam or the other one? Protection isn't a big deal to me anymore, mostly just care about comfort. Also, what do I have to do to get Hossa cuffs? A buddy has a pair he got off ebay with them, I like them more then the stock cuffs.

And finally, does anyone have any experience with the high performance palms? Thought about it on my last pair but decided not to, do they really wear that fast?

Here's a picture of my current pair while they were new, they were made to match team colors at the time.

I don't remember the date I got them but it was as soon as warrior began offering customes. I was inquiring about a pair of custom MIA's at the time and they told me to wait, I did and got these. As far as colorway, I want to do a black on black with a black carbon pinky stripe and white outlining on the lettering and possibly white binding.

To get the lightest gloves use all tufftek. As far as foams I believe in the options they say which one has the least amount of protection and the best comfort (I cant recall off hand what its called. To get Hossa cuffs you just have to request it in the additional details at the end. Worked for me when I asked for Kovalchuk Cuffs.

As for performance palms, I have had both digital and mustang from Warrior. While digital is my preference (don't like grip sticks) I only get about a year of wear out of them. My current gloves with mustang palms are going strong after 2 years of use.

How long does it usually take for iw to send you a bill for custom Warrior gloves? I did them up last night and still haven't got the bill. I also did a rush order so I thought there would be a "rush". Sorry for high jacking the topic. Just wondering what anyone else's experience was with this.

Can anyone tell me the differences between the cuffs? The only one I saw in person was the Hossa. Looking for the lightest, most mobile and comfortable glove possible.

The Hossa is what I use mostly because I hate having a glove to with too long of a cuff or to much going on the backside where I need mobilitly. Also the short cuff just looks better IMO.
