filth e mcnasti 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2013 Ok, so I have a pair of Bauer xr2 skates which are 8.5 size and r width. I have been using them for about 15-20 games. They hurt the outsides of my feet to the point where I cannot skate at all, and that's only with very thin hockey socks and with them tied only snug in the lower middle boot.I've tried to have them stretched and I've used yellow super feet but It feels like my foot is in a vice grip on the outside. I don't know what to do I can't skate this way. I've had them baked twice FYI I'm thinking about trying out some 7k reeboks as well
beedee 227 Report post Posted January 26, 2013 i had a similar issue with my graf ultra g5 hockey skates, i ended up getting them punched in the mid-foot area twice. i know that pain in which you speak of, and it royally sucks. i also had my skates baked twice. i wish i got the wide version of the skate. beedee 227 Report post Posted January 27, 2013 Not yet, I think I'm going to switch to Bauers, the Nexus 600 to be exact.

hb4167 6 Report post Posted February 1, 2013 Just be caustious of heel slip. Being that reeboks are wider up front, they are also wider in the heel/ankle area. Pay attention to that when trying them on.
guitarfreek92 7 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 just be carefull the nexus is a soft boot construction it will feel very comfortable in the beginning but over time it will lose support quickly and you will feel puck when they hit you. plus if you looking to put roller chassis on them most places i know wont do it because the sole doesn't hold up very well. but the reebok give alot in the heel unlike most boots to help compensate for the wider heel make sure you can bake the boot before you purchase to make sure it feel tighter in the back
playthehawkee 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 The RBK pump works wonders in getting that heel to lock in
guitarfreek92 7 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 The RBK pump works wonders in getting that heel to lock injust watch overusing the pump. ive seen people blow out he pump to the point where it didnt gain any air and reebok doesnt warranty it
playthehawkee 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 ^^Truth there. Also, I've seen new pairs where the bladder hasn't inflated. Not to say someone didn't over inflate them before I tried them on. But yeah, don't pump them up if you're foot's not in them lol
