New Mako Shinguards

Anyone have any experience with the new Easton Mako shin guards? Where do they fall as far as bulky/volume vs tapered/anatomical fit? How thick is the calf wrap?

I've always used Jofa's and then Reebok shins in 13". I'm in the market for new ones but find that the 11Ks in sr 14" are a good length since I like to tuck my tongue behind them but way too bulky even for me, can't even get them into my int edge socks (I'm 5'6"). My previous shins were 13" jr 9ks that for ok but lacked some of the calf protection as they wouldn't wrap around the circumference of my leg.

I'm open to the idea of trying different brands in sr 14" and think maybe even an anatokic for might not be too bad if I use sr size. Just intrigued by the video of the mako's but dunno if I'd be just facing the same big bulk problem like the 11ks and should just try a st u+cl or stealth II or something.
