CCM crossover blade, no competition.

I agree with fatwabbit, the 2k blade isnt stiff enough. Iv used it for just passing around and shooting around with a friend in the street and it twists and bends when you shoot with it.

My favorite blade (I play on smooth, slick concrete outdoors) is the CCM crossover then the reebok 2K is my second favorite. The thing that makes the crossover so much better is that it's ABS like the 2K but it also has a wood core so you get a much better feel for the puck.

You might consider Frontier blades as well. From what I've read they are similar in design and construction with the Crossover and actually offer a number of patterns. It also comes in standard and tapered versions. I'm tempted to try some, especially since they are $21 bucks each vs the crossover at $38.

I might look at Romain's suggestions with the eleven hockey blades.

Once the Crossover blades were taken over by CCM from KOHO, they went to the gutter due to the loss of the Jagr curve. Ever since then, I've stopped using the Crossover. It's a very strong blade, but it was unique mostly because of the Jagr curve.

Frontier makes amazing blades. Great quality & choice at curves.

I prefer the '12 Easton ABS blades over the RBK 2K because, as the users above previously stated, the twist you get using a RBK blade sucks.

I love the Frontier blades & options for curves, but you can't beat the sale price for the Easton's going on hockey monkey & they offer a 15% discount on all blades & shafts ($12 blades).
