db1789 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2013 Hi, so I'm looking for a new stick. I previously used the CCM RBZ, which I felt was incredible, great pop, great kick point, beautifully made. Sadly, I just broke it . Based on the circumstances, I need to by another stick, 2 actually. I am in a strong debate over which stick to buy. Truly, Im no sniper, Im a hard working forward, who drives the nets and wins the battles down low. Most of the shots i take are snap shots, I heard the Bauer APX is great but loses its feel quite quickly. I am debating over a Total One NXG, Vapor APX, or a Eason Mako II. I would like to get something close to RBZ... I would love to get another one but i hate how it gets chippy and loses it color so quickly. Also I play U16AA so i need something that would hold up well. May I please get your personal opinions on the NXG, APX, and Mako II. Thanks.
Souldriver 64 Report post Posted May 15, 2013 My apx never lost it's feel and I credit that new resin they're using, it's shooting harder than my new warrior widow which is a stick said to have tons of pop. Maybe it isn't just marketing mumbo jumbo. Great shaft feel on the apx and it fits my hand better than the msg. Not a fan of how Easton sticks fit my hands, havnt been for years. Have had mine for probably 4 months now and it still has great feel and snap shots rocket off the blade. I've used a fair amount of top end sticks on the market in the past year (TO,NXG,Widow,RSII) and the APX is hands down my favorite stick out right now. I'm biased to it's shaft dimensions though as I prefer something a bit more rounded than square and traditional feeling.
CTB 32 Report post Posted May 16, 2013 I'm TotalOne fan myself, very durable stick. Didn't have much luck with the Vapor X:60 but from what I've read the APX is an improvement.
