In the meantime, I am tasked with trying to find my replacement:Seeking responsible, mature individual for a 40 hour week/ year round Service Coordinator position in a hockey pro shop. The Everblades Pro Shop is a full service shop selling a wide assortment of hockey equipment, figure skating gear, and Florida Everblades (ECHL) merchandise.Primary Responsibilities Include:Sharpening and repairing skates/hockey equipment, maintaining a high standard for said servicesAssisting with product ordering and merchandisingMaintaining a clean, organized service roomAssisting customers in the fitting and purchasing of productsMinimum Qualifications:Must have Day/Night and weekend availabilityMust be self-motivated and enjoy a busy work environmentMust be personable and customer friendlyMust possess basic hockey/skating knowledgeDesired Qualifications (in addition to the above):Experience working in retail or a hockey rinkExperience in sharpening skates and equipment repairFamiliarity with current hockey products (skates, sticks, protective gear, etc.)Experience with goalie equipmentOur store is located inside a multi-sheet facility that houses an ECHL team, concerts, youth recreational and travel hockey, a Junior team, ACHA college hockey as well as recreational adult leagues year round.We are located in Southwest Florida, just a short drive from the beach. We are a five minute drive from Florida Gulf Coast University.
