Which Punch-out Tools Will Work On The Ankle?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering which punch out tools can successfully punch out significant ankle bone spots. My pro shop of choice has the standard punch out tool, but not the one designed for the ankle punch. They said they think they could do it, but sometimes I get the idea they would try just about anything to bring revenue in because they have a rough time getting by. There's another place that has the ankle puncher, but the guy has poor customer service and I don't know if he would listen well enough or follow up on adjustments that should be made on the ankles.

The punches on my boots need to be quite significant. It would basically be to move the whole ankle hollow 1/2" down and forward. I have Graf's Supra G35s, and they are designed with very rigid and stiff ankle hollows for the ankle bone. My ankle bones are too far forward and too low to stay in the hollows, and when I turn or stop, the stiff and rigid boot digs directly into my ankle bone very painfully causing terrible bruising -- I can't even skate powerfully. I've tried punching them out on my own with a heat gun and a crow bar, but I can't apply enough force to the side of the boot. Does anyone have enough knowledge about punch out tools to know if standard punch out tools could handle it? Or, do I have to deal with the ass hole that has the right tools?

Thanks

If they have enough knowledge, they can likely do it with the tools they have. If they don't have the skill or the tool, I would go elsewhere.
